The Orange Mighty Trio plays their own special brand of “hybrid” chamber music. It may contain fiddle, jazz or pop-inspired elements, from sweeping melodies to intricate interweaving parts. They dance on the line between spontaneity and composition and the Trio members often surprise each other in performance, thriving on interplay and always full of energy. Violinist Zack Kline, bassist Nick Gaudette, and pianist Mike Vasich got together in 2006 to form the Trio which has performed widely and has composed scores for numerous indie films.
Eskit is a fine songwriter, composer, pianist, singer, storyteller and humorist. He is a skilled, animated, dramatic, amusing and thoughtful performer who writes and performs political satire, social commentary, and songs about contemporary events and issues. He has most notably shared the stage with Nina Simone, Papa John Kolstad and Garrison Keillor. His songs have been played on NPR's "All Things Considered", Pacifica's "Democracy Now", and for Amnesty International, Minnesota Public Radio, and Air America Minnesota.
This May, the global climate movement is hosting a wave of actions to break free from the world’s most dangerous fossil fuel projects and support ambitious climate solutions. This will be this year’s biggest global effort in our campaign for climate justice and is an historic moment to show that we are serious about keeping fossil fuels in the ground. Break Free Midwest is on of the five actions planned in the midwest! Your participation and support will help make this a historic moment for the world.
